Shingles Triptych
Los Angeles, CAFall 2025
Constructed from simple 2x4 lumber and clad in Oakridge Desert Tan Laminate Architectural Roofing Shingles, the installation reimagines the language of the pitched roof as a sculptural element. Three stilted forms stand together like fragments of shelter or abstracted figures, evoking both architectural prototype and creaturely presence. The use of everyday construction materials foregrounds questions of scale, assembly, and the thin line between building and object.
